MINI has just revealed the 2013 Countryman John Cooper Works, ahead of its official debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show next week.
Set to go on sale in Europe this autumn, the model is fitted with an aerodynamic body kit, along with a lowered sports suspension and high-performance brakes. There's also a more aggressive exhaust system, the JCW badging and lightweight 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin features a sport steering wheel, sport seats, revised instrumentation, piano black or Chili Red trim and the JCW sill plates.
The carmaker says that the 2013 Countryman JCW comes as standard with the ALL4 all-wheel drive system and a six-speed manual gearbox.
Power comes from a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 215 hp and 280 Nm of torque or 300 Nm with in overboost. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 7.0 seconds and hit a top speed of 225 km/h. With the optional six-speed automatic, it hits a top speed of 223 km/h.
In terms of efficiency, the vehicle is burning an average of 7.2-liter/100 km (39.2 mpg UK) and CO2 emissions of 167 g/km. With the automatic, it returns 8.0-liter/100 km (35.3 mpg UK).
Pricing information hasn't been released.
