2013 Hyundai Elantra GT revealed

Along with the Coupe version, the 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT has also been unveiled at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show.
Essentially a re-badged i30 for European markets, the Elantra GT will go against rivals like the Ford Focus, Mazda3 and the Volkswagen Golf.
“Elantra GT is a fun-to-drive, functional, five-door compact hatchback. Elantra GT is the latest example of how Hyundai is redefining the compact car and setting new standard in automotive design, efficiency and functionality”, said Mike O’Brien, vice president, Product and Corporate Planning, Hyundai Motor America.
Standard features include 172-watt AM/FM/Satellite Radio/CD/MP3 audio system with six-speakers and iPod/USB/auxiliary input jacks, Bluetooth and Hyundai’s new BlueLink infotainment system.
The 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT is powered by an advanced 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with 148 horsepower, which represents a best in class output of 82.2 horsepower per liter, and 131 lb-ft of torque. The unit is mated to a six-speed automatic or manual transmission. The model is weight of 1,262 kg and is returns an average of 28/39 mpg in city/highway.
