Today, the 2013 Hyundai Elantra Coupe is unveiled to the world's media at the Chicago Auto Show.
Set to hit dealerships in the spring, the Coupe features the Asian automaker's "Fluidic Sculture" design language, six airbags, leather seating surfaces, heated front seats, power sunroof and dual automatic temperature control with Clean Air.
Power is provided by a 1.8-liter Nu four-cylinder engine 148 hp ( 110 kW / 150 PS ) and 177Nm (131 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is available with either a six-speed manual or automatic. This allows the car to return an average of 29/40 mpg in city/highway for the six-speed manual transmission and 28/39 mpg in city/highway for the six-speed automatic transmission.
The Kia Koup and the Honda Civic Coupe have been identified as the main rivals for the 2013 Hyundai Elantra Coupe.
