2013 Chevrolet Malibu launched in China

The Chevrolet Malibu has recently been launched in China by the North American carmaker General Motors.

Offered in five variants, the Malibu, Chevy’s new global mid-size sedan, has been priced from RMB162,900 to RMB229,900 (equivalent to $25,871 to $36,512 at the current exchange rate) and is currently available for preorder at 552 Chevrolet dealerships across China.

Under the hood, engine options include: a 2.4-liter SIDI with 137 kW and 240 Nm of torque, or a 2.0-liter DVVT which returns 8.0-liter every 100 km in an average cycle.

Kevin Wale, President and Managing Director of the GM China Group, said “With a balanced combination of style, comfort and drivability the Malibu will be a great addition to the Chevrolet family in China. It will play an important role expanding GM’s presence in the upper-medium passenger car segment.”
