2013 Audi RS4 Avant officially revealed

After four pictures were leaked yesterday, Audi has unveiled the 2013 RS4 Avant, ahead of its official world debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show next month.

Available in eight colors (one solid and one metallic finish, four pearl-effect colors, Prism Silver and Panther Black), the model comes with the large hexagonal grille with aluminum style finish, a set of LED daytime running lights are fitted around the xenon plus headlights, the large air inlets, front splitter, which gives it the look of a racecar and by the company’s signature, the dual oval exhaust and 19-inch ten-spoke forged aluminum wheels with 265/35-series tires are standard.

Inside, the cabin has a pair of sports seats, climate-controlled deluxe seats with a ventilation function, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, a carbon fiber trim, alloy pedals and a multimedia system in the dashboard.

Power comes from a hand built 4.2-liter V8 engine with 444 hp at 8,250 rpm and 430 Nm of torque between 4,000 to 6,000rpm. The engine is  mated to a seven-speed S tronic transmission, which is backed up by a quattro all-wheel drive system with a 40:60 front/rear distribution. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds and hit an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. This can be increased to 280 km/h upon request. Audi says that the third-generation RS4 Avant consumes an average of 11-liter per 100 km (21.38 mpg in the U.S.).

The 2013 Audi RS4 Avant has a starting price of €76,600 and sales will begin in fall 2012.
