Maserati has revealed the first images and initial details for the 2012 GranTurismo Sport, ahead of its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
Developed to replace the company's best selling GranTurismo S, the model has a new front fascia featuring restyled front bumper and LED daytime running lights, while the tail-lamps get darker lenses than on the standard GranTurismo. Lastly, the interior comes with a new steering wheel and aggressive upgrade.
Under the hood, the 2012 GranTurismo Sport is powered by a 4.7-liter V8 engine with 460 hp, allowing the 1.8-ton heavy coupe to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in under 5 seconds. The standard gearbox is a six-speed torque converter automatic, while a six-speed sequential manual comes as optional.
Full official specifications will be revealed next month.
