The documents reveal that Daimler’s total 2012 output target, including Smart and Maybach, is 1.52 million units, which means the German factories would comprise 65% of Daimler's worldwide passenger car production in 2012.
Mercedes's biggest plant, which is in Sindelfingen, near Stuttgart, is expected to make 460,860 cars next year. Meanwhile, the Bremen factory will build 327,460 units and the Rastatt plant is expected to manufacture 199,790 units.
Outside of Germany, Mercedes’ biggest plant in Vance, Alabama, USA is forecast to make 185,900 vehicles in 2012, an increase of 30% on its projected total of 143,000 in 2011. Mercedes made 125,000 cars in Alabama in 2010.
