Designed to compete most probably with the Tata Nano, the RE60 measures 2,752 mm long, 1,312 mm wide and 1,650 mm tall. It has been developed fully by Bajaj Auto and not with Renault or Nissan Motors.
Power comes from a 200cc engine with approximately 20 hp, allowing the 400 kg vehicle to hit a top speed of 70 km/h, return 35 km/l (2.8 l/100 km / 82.3 mpg US / 98.9 mpg UK) and have CO2 emissions of 60 g/km.
The Bajaj RE60 will be manufactured in Bajaj’s plant in western India. Pricing information hasn't been released, but the model could cost €1,700-2,800 when it goes on sale in the next few months.
