Acura has officially introduced to the public the ILX concept at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show.
Based on the US-spec Honda Civic, the concept is 4,555 mm long, 1,890 mm wide and 1,425 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,670 mm. As you can see, it features an angular front fascia, LED fog lights, 19-inch alloy wheels and and some other interesting features. However, interior pictures were not released.
Under the hood, three engine options will be available: a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder with a five-speed automatic, a 2.4-liter four-cylinder with a six-speed manual and a hybridized 1.5-liter four-cylinder which is estimated to return 35 mpg city / 38 mpg highway (US).
According to the Japanese carmaker, the 2013 Acura ILX will be launched later this year.
