Lincoln has officially announced plans to introduce the 2013 MKZ sedan concept to the public at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show.
Designed to replace for the current MKZ, the concept will be made on a new platform, which is also underpinning the next Ford Fusion and the Mondeo. According to the carmaker, it will continue to use a front-wheel drive platform, but customers will also be able to choose an optional all-wheel drive system.
Additional information is limited, but rumors says that the 2013 MKZ will be offered to supplement a range of V6 and turbocharged four-cylinder engines. A hybrid version might also be in the books
The production version is expected to debut later in 2012, or early 2013.
