According to the German carmaker, the six-speed manual will be offered as a no-cost option when the new M5 is launched this summer. No performance figures have been released, but the gearbox has a short throw linkage and optimized ratios for outstanding acceleration and fuel efficiency.
As a reminder, the M5 is powered by a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine with 660 hp and 680 Nm of torque, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 250 km/h or 305 km/h with the M Driver's Package.
