Available in three trim levels (1, 2 and 3), the model is powered by a 1.7-liter diesel engine with 130 horsepower at 4,000 rpm and 325 Nm of torque, available between 2,000 and 2,500 rpm. The engine can be mated to a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. According to the Korean carmaker, the manual model will get the stop & go system, a few aerodynamic tweaks, a modified ECU and climate control system. All of these aimed at reducing the fuel consumption.
The 2012 Kia Optima will begin arriving at dealerships around UK on February 1.
