Set to go against the German vehicle in the 2012 FIA World Rally Championship, the 2012 Fiesta RS WRC has been painted in new colors and was officially unveiled at the Autosport International Racing Car Show in Birmingham, a traditional start-of-season showcase event. As you can see in the image, Castrol will continue to sponsor the Ford WRC team along with Abu Dhabi.
According to the North American automaker, the Fiesta RS is based on the road-going Fiesta hatchback and sports a 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine and four-wheel drive.
We hope that the vehicle will shine in the new World Rally Championship season, with racing drivers like Jari-Matti Latvala, Mikka Anttila, Chris Patterson and Peter Solberg who moves from Citroen to Ford this season.
