2012 BMW M3 DTM safety car revealed


BMW has recently revealed these images of the 2012 M3 safety car on Facebook, to celebrate their return to DTM racing since 2000.

According to the German carmaker, the car measures 4,775 mm in length, 1,950 in width and 1,200 mm in height. It has a black grille, a ventilated hood, a carbon fiber rear spoiler, a light bar, black wheels and an orange engine cover. Inside, the cabin features Recaro seats, a sports steering wheel and stainless steel pedals.

Power comes from 4.0-liter V8 engine with 480 bhp, per DTM regulations. This allows it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3 seconds and hit a top speed of 300 km/h.
