The Aqua is powered by a 1.5-liter Toyota Hybrid System II producing a combined motor and engine output of 100 hp. According to the Japanese automaker, the entry-level hybrid boasts fuel efficiency of 35.4 km/liter.
Toyota aims to sell 12,000 Aqua models every month in Japan. Starting price for the Aqua is 1.69 million yen ($21,700).
