The C63 AMG Black Series has been announced in Australia on November 9, 2011. But Mercedes today announced that all 32 units of the latest Black Series model allocated for Australia have already been sold out.
“I can’t say I’m surprised but we’re certainly overwhelmed by the quick response. We’ll continue to work with AMG to secure more vehicles as not only have we sold out of our C63 AMG Coupe Black Series allocation, but we now have a wait list," said the Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars Sales general manager, Richard Emery.
"At this stage we don’t know how many more we can secure, but I know the number of additional vehicles won’t be high due to global car demand”.
As a reminder, the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series is powered by a 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine with 517 hp at 6,800 rpm and 457 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 rpm. It is mated to a seven-speed AMG Speedshift MCT sport automatic transmission, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 4.2 seconds.
