Ford has announced it will invest $446 million to build the next generation Ka in Brazil.
Accordingly, the new Ka will go into production at the Sao Bernardo do Campo plant in Brazil in late 2013 or early 2014. The investment in the San Bernardo do Campo plant is part of the company's expansion plans and modernization program in South America, announced in 2010. This plant is currently producing Courier and F-250 models.
The carmaker also said that it will be built on a shortened version of the Fiesta platform. In addition to Brazil, the Ka will also be built in China and India.
