Customized Mazda CX-5 coming to Tokyo Auto Salon

Mazda has recently announced a customized version of the 2013 CX-5 that will be presented at the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon.

According to the Japanese carmaker, the model will come with a tart-up job, combining a red exterior body color with some alloy wheels painted in matte-black and a possible engine boost might also be in the books.

As a reminder, the 2013 Mazda CX-5 has already been presented to the public at the Frankfurt Motor Show, at the Los Angeles Auto Show and at the Tokyo Motor Show. The crossover is powered by a SKYACTIV-G 2.0-liter gasoline engine with 155 hp at 6,000 rpm and 150 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm. The SkyActiv-D has also been presented, with the 2.2-liter diesel engine that produces 150 or 175 hp. Customers will have a choice of two transmissions: a six-speed automatic or a six-speed manual transmission, with the all-wheel drive being available only with the automatic transmission.
