Today, Suzuki has announced the 2012 Swift Sport will go on sale in the UK in January with a starting price of £13,500.
According to the Japanese automaker, the new Swift Sport features a bespoke front bumper, a glossy black grille, side skirts, a roof spoiler, a modified rear bumper, large tail pipes and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin comes with sports seats, standard auto air conditioning, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, HID Projector headlamps with headlamp wash, ESP, seven airbags and the three-spoke steering wheel.
Power comes from a new Euro 5 1.6-liter VVT petrol engine with 136 hp and 160 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and front wheels drive. The Sport accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 8.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 195 km/h. It returns a combined fuel consumption of 44.1 mpg UK.
