Subaru has revealed the first images and details of the production ready BRZ sports car, ahead of its debut tomorrow at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show.
Designed as a joint-project between Subaru and Toyota, the rear-wheel-drive coupe is powered by a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder boxer engine with 197 hp at 7,000 rpm and 205 Nm of torque at 6,600 rpm. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox or an optional 6-speed automatic.
The BRZ is 4240 mm long, 1775 mm wide and 1300 mm high. In addition, Subaru has revealed the kerb weight is 1,219 kg (2,689 lb).
The Subaru BRZ will go on sale in the UK in the middle of 2012 for around £28,000.
