According to a new report from AutoCar, Jaguar is currently working on a successor of the X-Type.
The model could be launched in 2015 in a number of configurations which include a sedan, coupe and a roadster.
Power will come from a variety of new engines including a turbocharged 1.8-liter 4-cylinder petrol with around 170 hp. In addition, all-wheel drive and eight /nine-speed automatic transmissions are also thought to be on the menu.
Autocar also says that the upcoming Jaguar X-Type will compete with rivals such as the upcoming Audi A3 and the Mercedes-Benz CLC. Some estimates say it will cost from £22,000.
