According to a recent report from Auto Express, Abarth is developing a hot version of the Fiat Panda, which will hit showrooms sometime in 2013.
The model is slated to feature an extensive body kit with large wings and spoilers, a sport-tuned suspension, upgraded brakes and 16-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin will get bucket seats, a short-throw shifter and a sports steering wheel.
Optional extras are expected to include a louder exhaust system and larger 17-inch alloy wheels.
Power will reportedly come from a turbocharged 875cc 2-cylinder TwinAir engine with 110 hp, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 177 km/h.
The entry-level model is expected to cost £15,000.
