2012 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet officially unveiled


Porsche has released the first details of the 2012 911 (991) Carrera Cabriolet and the Carrera S Cabriolet.

Like the Coupe, the Cabriolet is powered by a 3.4-liter boxer six-cylinder DFI engine with 350 hp. Meanwhile, the S Cabriolet comes with a 3.8-liter boxer six-cylinder DFI engine with 400 hp. Both models consume less than 10-liter/100km on the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).

The Carrera Cabriolet can accelerate from 0-96 km/h in 4.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 177 mph, while the Carrera S cabriolet can accelerates from 0-96 km/h in 4.1 seconds and hit a top speed of 187 mph.

Both cars will go on sale in March 2012. In Germany, the standard Carrera Cabriolet will start at €100,532, while the Carrera S Cabriolet will start at €114,931.
