2012 Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG unveiled


Mercedes-Benz has introduced the 2012 ML63 AMG ahead of its debut at this week's at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show.

The German automaker says that the ML63 AMG is equipped by a 5.5-liter V8 biturbo engine with 518 hp and 699 Nm of torque, an increase of 15 hp and 60 Nm over its predecessor. Fuel-economy is expected to be improved by 33% and features a rating of 16 mpg (14.7-liter per 100 km).

And if that's not enough power, the AMG Performance Package will boost the V8 engine's output to 550 hp and a maximum torque of 758 Nm.

The 2012 ML63 AMG accelerates from 0-96 km/h in 4.7 seconds (4.6 seconds with the AMG Performance Package) and hit a top speed of  250 km/h (280 km/h with the AMG Performance Package).

New on the ML63 AMG is the Active Curve System which features active stabilizers on the front and rear axles to compensate for body roll during cornering.

The 2012 Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG goes on sale sometime in the first quarter of 2012.
