2011 Tokyo: Honda AC-X and Micro Commuter concepts

Along with the EV-STER, Honda has revealed the Micro Commuter and AC-X concepts at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show.

First up, the Micro Commuter Concept is a three-seater (1 2) vehicle that measures 2,500 mm long, 1,250 mm wide and 1,430 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 1,860 mm. It is powered by a 22 hp electric motor fueled by a 3.3 kWh electric battery, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-96 km/h in 7.4 seconds and hit a top speed of just over 60 km/h. Battery charging takes less than an hour with a 200 V outlet.

Other features include the customizable exterior panels where owners can insert graphic sheets in any color or pattern. The battery which is powering the systems can also be charged with the help of regenerative braking.

Next, the AC-X (Advanced Cruiser Experience) offers a comfortable and enjoyable driving experience in urban and long-distance motoring. Honda says the car is designed to provide a relaxing journey over long distances using an "automatic driving mode".
