Volkswagen America chief Jonathan Browning has confirmed that the Beetle R will make production. And now, the company has introduced the concept version in Los Angeles.
The concept is a glimpse of the production version. It features a wide-body kit, a large rear spoiler, air intakes to cool the engine and brakes, racing seats, four exhaust pipes and 20-inch Talladega alloy wheels.
As we have previously reported, the Volkswagen Beetle R is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with 270 hp and 350 Nm of torque.
