Honda has unveiled the production version of the 2013 Fit EV in Los Angeles.
Based on the gasoline Fit model, the Fit EV is powered by a 20 kWh lithium-ion battery feeding a 92 kW (125 PS / 123 hp) coaxial electric motor. Similar like the Honda CR-Z hybrid, the Fit EV will have three drive modes - Econ, Normal and Sport - with a possible range of 123 miles (198 km) in Econ mode.
The Japanese automaker says the combination should be good for 70 to 100 miles a charge. Recharging the batteries via a 240 volt charger can take less than six hours.
The 2013 Honda Fit EV is priced at $36,625.
