Ford has just presented the 2013 Escape at the Los Angeles Auto Show today.
Based on the Ford Global C platform, the 2013 Escape is a global vehicle and will go on sale as the Kuga in Europe and China next year.
Engine options include:
- A naturally aspirated 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with 168 hp and 167 lb-ft of torque.
- An all-new 1.6-liter EcoBoost direct injected 4-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine with 173 hp when running on 85 octane US fuel.
- A 2.0-liter 4-cylinder EcoBoost engine with 237 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque.
All engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and can be fitted with FWD as standard or AWD as an optional extra.
The 2013 Ford Escape is expected to go on sale sometime next year.
