BMW has officially unveiled the M5 at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The German automaker hadn’t released any details on it, but the U.S. model will most likely feature a 4.4-liter V8 engine as the European model, which is developing a total output of 560 hp between 5.000 and 6,000 rpm, with a peak torque of 502 lb-ft at 1,500 rpm.
As a reminder, the 4.4-liter V8 engine is mated to a 7-speed M Double Clutch Transmission Drivelogic, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 155 mph.
