According to Autobild, the Peugeot HX1 concept is going into production as the 608. The model will be launched in 2014 and as a shooting brake which is slightly larger than the Mercedes-Benz R-Class.
No official details about the engine, but a variety of diesels are expected with ranging between 163 and 275 hp, along with a hybrid version which might develop around 300 hp (including a 204 hp diesel engine and a 95 hp electric motor).
The Peugeot 608 should be priced from approximately €55,000 ($75,710).
