Tesla CEO Elon Musk has confirmed to Autocar that the company will launch a new Roadster in 2014.
The model will be based on a “third-generation platform” which could be a shortened version of the architecture that underpins the Tesla Model S. More interestingly, “this platform will spawn a range of cars” to rival the BMW 3-series in the next four to five years.
