2012 Kia Rio Sedan Priced From $14,150

About a month since Kia announced pricing for the 2012 five-door Rio hatchback, the South Korean automaker today released prices for the sedan version.

The 2012 Rio sedan with a manual gearbox will start at $14,150 including a $750 destination and handling fee. This means that's $200 less than its hatchback sibling. Meanwhile, the automatic version will start at $15,250.

The sedan is available in three trim levels: LX, EX and SX. Power comes from a 1.6-liter GDI 4-cylinder engine with 138 hp. It is linked with a six-speed manual (LX only) or a six-speed automatic. The manual version will return 30 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway.

Standard equipment features across the range include air conditioning, electric power steering, an MP3 audio system with USB and auxiliary ports, SiriusXM satellite radio with three months complimentary service, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), ABS, Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) and Vehicle Stability Management (VSM).
