Nissan Teana production to stop in Japan

Nissan has announced it will end domestic production of the Teana by next year due to weak demand from the Japanese market and declining export margins.

Currently, Nissan is producing the Teana in Japan, Thailand and China. The company plans to move Japanese production of the Teana to the US and domestic sales of the Teana will continue through imports.

The Nissan Teana is a direct competitor of the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and Hyundai Sonata.
