At the Frankfurt Motor Show, Porsche has introduced along a variety of cars to the 2011 edition such as the 911 GT3 RS 4.0, the Cayman S Black Edition and Panamera V6 Diesel. However, the new 911 is receiving all the attention of fans.
Codenamed 991, the 48-year old Carrera has a new chassis and a wheelbase that has been stretched 100 mm, while the roof was slightly lowered as well as 20-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin include a sloping center console, a high-resolution multifunction screen, additional trim and updated switchgear.
The base Carrera features a 3.4-liter flat-six engine with 350 hp. It is paired with the optional PDK transmission which enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 in 4.6 seconds (Sport Plus 4.4 seconds) and hit a top speed of 288 km/h.
While the Carrera S features a 3.8-liter flat-six engine with 400 hp. It is paired with the optional PDK transmission which enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds (Sport Plus 4.1 seconds) and hit a top speed of 302 km/h.
U.S. pricing for the Carrera starts at €88,038.
