In an interview with German magazine Auto Motor und Sport, BMW CEO Norbert Reithofer confirmed plans to build the X4.
Built under the internal codename F26, the model will measure 4.65 meters (15.25 feet) long and share engines with the X3.
Details are limited, but the BMW X4 could hit the market in 2014.
