Toyota has announced plans to introduce a Prius Plug-in Hybrid concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.
The company said the concept features a lithium-ion battery, a fuel consumption rating of 2.2-liter/100 km and CO2 emissions of 49 g/km. The Prius Plug-in Hybrid vehicle can be fully charged in approximately three hours from a standard 110V electrical outlet, and in 90 minutes with a 220V connection.
Details are limited, but the concept could travel 20 km at speeds up to 100 km/h solely on electric power.
