According to the Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, the company plans to unveil a prototype of the Model X in December and if everything goes according to plan the production will start in 2013.
Elon Musk said "So far it's looking good, I don't think anything will cause an issue". Details are still limited, but the car will be based on the Model S.
Tesla is expected to produce 15,000 units annually.
