Subaru has released the name of its upcoming version of the FT-86.
The new coupe will be named the Subaru BRZ. According to the automaker, the name stands for “Boxer engine”, “Rear-wheel drive” and “Zenith”.
Production of the BRZ is slated to begin next spring, but before that, the company will show a second technology concept of the coupe named “SUBARU BRZ PROLOGUE - BOXER Sports Car Architecture II” at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.
