Porsche Recalls Over 1,000 911s in the US

Recently, Porsche has announced that they are recalling 1,702 911s equipped with center locking hubs. According to Porsche, the affected 911s were produced from May 18, 2009 through to September 17, 2010 and sold in the United States.

Talking to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Porsche said that over time, the hubs can wear prematurely and loosen up, increasing the risk of an accident.

As planned, affected owners will be notified in writing next week. Porsche dealers will replace the faulty parts with a newer design free of charge. For more information, owners can call Porsche at 1-800-767-7243.
