GM Continues to invest $20 million in Kansas

GM will continue to invest $20 million to research new technologies for the Fairfax assembly plant in Kansas. This investment is part of the expansion plan of GM to create or retain approximately 4,000 jobs, through investing $2 billion for 17 plants in the U.S..
GM said, the Fairfax assembly plant will be equipped with new machinery and tools, to produce the Buick LaCrosse used eAssist technology. This technology will help more fuel efficient (15.7 km/liter on the highway). The LaCrosse sedan will be launched late this summer.
Currently, the Fairfax plant uses about 3,900 employees. This is where the production Chevrolet Malibu.
