Peugeot EX1 Sets Electric Vehicle Record on the Nürburgring

The EX1 concept racer took just over 9 minutes to lap the 20.8 km track of the Nürburgring-Nordschleife.

So, Peugeot EX1 Concept has set a new record for an electric car on the Nordschleife track and was controlled by driver Stéphane Caillet.


Peugeot EX1 takes only 9 minutes and 1.338 seconds to complete the 20.8 km on the Nordschleife track. The car clocked an average speed of 138,324 km/h on the run. Compared to the previous record of an other electric vehicle on the Nordschleife track, Peugeot EX1 faster than about 50 seconds.

The EX1 is equipped with two electric motors, capacity of 340 horsepower. Expected, the technology appears on Peugeot EX1 will be used for all electric vehicles in the future of Peugeot.
