Kia Aims to Sell 10,000 Cars in Indonesia

According to Jakarta Post, PT KIA Mobil Indonesia (KMI) announced that it is expected to sell 10,000 cars in this market this year after achieving record sales of 6,550 cars last year.

According to the Association of Automobile Manufacturers Indonesia (Gaikindo), Kia is one of 10 best-selling car brand in Indonesia and accounted for 0.9% market share of this country.


Director KMI Sukmono Hartanto said to achieve this goal, the joint venture will introduce the all-new Sportage, this is a CUV. He said: "We are targeting to sell about 10,000 cars late this year."

According to Hartanto, last year, Kia Picanto is the best-selling car, contributing 65% of its total sales, followed by Kia Travello.
