According to Beijing Times, the new brand of FAW-Volkswagen joint venture will be called Kaili. The name was Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China approve in recent times and FAW-VW has confirmed.
According to reports, the first model to be registered under this brand name will be an electric car, but currently, there are no further information on this model. Those in the automotive industry believe that this will have very important meaning for FAW-VW because it means the Chinese government allows joint ventures to deploy the work produced in Foshan factory of the joint venture.
VW showed the intention to supplement its product lineup by adding electric vehicles version such as the Jetta, Golf and the New Bora, all have electric vehicles version.
