BMW Will Launch Four New Models in Frankfurt

This year, the Frankfurt Motor Show promises to be the best one ever, with a series of new models will debut: the new 911, the Audi S1, MINI Coupe and Roadster, the stunning new BMW M5 and some Mercs.

First things first, the M5 is still a closely guarded secret in some aspects. Many fans hope, BMW M5 will be equipped with a 4.4-liter V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo Technology similar X5/X6 M, 7-speed DCT Drivelogic double clutch gearbox and active cooling systems.


Next up, the M3 GTS Sedan is equipped with a 4.4-liter V8 engine, capacity of 450 hp like the Coupe. Expected, BMW will deliver the 2012 M3 GTS sedan with limited quantities later this year.


Finally, the i3 is expected to feature an electric motor, capacity of 150 hp. The car to hit a top speed of 160 km/h and activity within 250 km. BMW actually has big hopes for the i3, as it some 40,000 units per year will be built, using advanced materials like carbon fiber and reinforced plastic (CFRP).
