Nissan Aims to Sell 1.15 million Vehicles in China

Nissan said it aims to sell 1.15 million vehicles in China in 2011 and the company is expanding production capacity to double compare to the current level in order to serve this goal.

On April 4, Chairman and CEO of Nissan, Carlos Ghosn said, Nissan's sales in the Chinese market has increased 35% in 2009 compared to previous year. Carlos Ghosn added, currently, China accounts for a quarter of Nissan's global sales, becoming the largest automobile market by Nissan.


Currently, Nissan is expanding production in two joint ventures plant to increase production capacity in China to nearly 1.2 million units, nearly double the current number.
