Geely Launches Six New Models at the Shanghai Auto Show

One of the most dominant brands at the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show is Geely Auto of China, which owns Volvo Cars.

Volvo also launched 37 models along with the research achievements and latest developments in Shanghai. Geely's highlights is the hybrid concept called the McCAR and five new models that Geely announced would soon be put into production, including Gleagle GC6, Gleagle GX6, Gleagle GS-CC Coupe, Emgrand EC6-RV and Englong SC7-RV.

- Geely McCAR


The McCAR is a sub-compact concept runs in urban, including hybrid version and electric version.

- Geely Gleagle GC6


This is a four-door model that can compete with Nissan Sunny.

- Geely Gleagle GX6


One of the most interesting models of Geely is a small crossover with interior designers like Kia. The company says the crossover will be equipped by 1.5-liter or 1.3-liter engine, manual gearbox or automatic transmission.

- Geely Gleagle GS-CC Coupe


The two-door model using the chassis of the GX6 crossover, is equipped with a turbocharged 1.5-liter or 1.3-liter engine.

- Geely Emgrand EC6-RV


This is a small hatchback, design seems influenced from Mini. The five-door hatchback with a 3,845 mm in long, 1,763 mm in wide, 1,430 mm in high. It is equipped with 1.5-liter or 1.3-liter engine, manual gearbox or clutch seven-speed.

- Geely Englong SC7-RV


The SC7-RV is a blend of classic and modern features. The car is equipped with gasoline or diesel engine, automatic transmission.
