Kia has confirmed that the 2012 Kia Rio will be released in the U.S. later this month at the 2011 New York Auto Show. The new Rio is youthful exterior design, interior with equipment to meet the needs of U.S. customers. This manufacturer also plans to simultaneously launch the sedan and the hatback.
Unlike the 1.4-liter engine version for the European market, in the U.S. market, the 2012 Rio is powered by a 1.6-liter direct fuel injection engine with 138 hp.
The 2012 Kia Rio will compete with the Ford Fiesta and the Mazda 2 in the small sedan segment.
