Toyota to Stop Production At 12 Factories in Japan

Toyota had stopped production activities in all 12 assembly plants in Japan from the impact of the earthquake and tsunami history last Friday.
Restore production activities will be decided in the middle of this week but will not also exclude the possibility that prolonged.
At this time, Toyota's top concern is safety and welfare for staff and partners provide spare here. The risk of nuclear disaster, according to Toyota, the temporary cessation of production activities is in the interests of employees.
Currently, approximately 38% vehicles sale out of Toyota throughout the world were manufactured in Japan. Toyota's decision will affect the export activities to the North American market, especially for models were only produced in Japan.
The models affected include:
- Toyota: 4Runner, FJ Cruiser, Land Cruiser, Prius and Yaris.
- Lexus: LS, GS, IS, GX and LX.
- Toyota's Scion brand is affected the most when the whole products line of this brand was manufactured only in Japan.
