Audi A6 Hybrid on road test


The 2012 Audi A6 Hybrid recently held a test run near an Audi facility in Germany.

The A6 Hybrid will share a powertrain with the previously announced Q5 Hybrid and A8 Hybrid Concept. That would be a 2.0L TFSI engine, capacity of 208 horsepower, combined with an electric motor, capacity of 33 kW (44 hp), use electrical energy from lithium-ion batteries. Total capacity is 241 horsepower, torque is 480 Nm (354 lb-ft).

The A6 Hybrid can travel up to 3 kilometers with a constant speed is 60 km/h in mode operation using only the electric motor. Maximum speed of the car is 238 km/h, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds, fuel consumption average of 6.2 liter/100 km - equivalent to diesel engine vehicles with similar capacity, CO2 emissions of 142 g/km.

The 2012 Audi A6 Hybrid is expected to hit the market this year.
