Toyota Prius will be assembled at Toyota's Gateway plant near Bangkok in Thailand, where currently manufactures the Corolla, Camry, Camry Hybrid and some other model.
Thus, Thailand will be the third country that Toyota chosen to produce the Prius models, beside Japan and China.
Toyota said, the company's decision is part of plan more widely available hybrid model worldwide.
Toyota does not disclose production output of the Prius at plant in Thailand, but a company spokesman said, the production is to serve the domestic market in Thailand.
From 1997, the Prius has achieved global sales exceeding 2 million units in late September this year.
